Here’s How to Wash & Care for Our Fabric Dog
Our fabric dog collars and leads are stitched by hand and made to last. Showing your new Sloth Pups accessories some regular TLC will keep the patterns bright, fabric soft and buckles strong.

Step 1: Bath time
Muddy collars deserve the same treatment as muddy paws: plenty of gentle hand washing! Use mild soap, cool water and don’t resort to harsh chemicals or bleach. Do a quick paw-spection for loopy threads, tiny tears and/or fabric wear. Rinse well and move
Step 2: Shake it off
Unless your doberman has shrunk to the size of a chihuahua overnight – save the dryer for human clothes! Hang your collar and lead somewhere high, dry, shady and well away from curious chewers. Dry buckles well to prevent water spots.

After handwashing your collar and lead, take a soft cloth or brush and work extra soap into the stained area. Scrub gently and allow to sit for a couple of minutes before rinsing well under cool water.

Sloth Pups’ hardware (clips, metal buckles and D-rings) have gone through rigorous quality testing. They pass a 72-hour salt spray test with flying colours which means they’re pretty resistant to corrosion!
As soon as you spot a sandy/salty collar, give it a good wash, a couple of extra rinses and plenty of time to air dry. The outer shell of our fabric dog collars is 100% cotton because it’s smooth, breathable and easy to clean. The collar itself is made from durable Polypropylene Webbing which is water, mildew and mold resistant (phew!). We want your pup to be stylish and safe at all times.
